I often forget, living in New York, just how incredibly beautiful this country can be. The natural wonders are breathtaking, especially when unencumbered by casinos and other schlock (yes, I'm looking at you Niagara Falls). From the alpine meadows of Montana to the deserts of the Southwest, from the lush forest of the northern west coast, to the sulphuric pools of Yellowstone, from the endless blue of the Pacific to the pine-fresh streams of Michigan. America is Beautiful.
